Oklahoma State Commitment From 2025 EDGE Kyle Keya

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State’s recruiting success in the 2025 class continues as the Cowboys just landed a commitment from EDGE Kyle Keya.

He chose the Cowboys over offers from Iowa State, Kansas and Marshall.

Keya, a three-star out of Kapaun Mt. Carmel in Wichita, KS, checks in at 6-4, 205 pounds, and is the No. 9 overall prospect out of Kansas in the class.

This past season as a junior, Keya helped the Crusaders to an 11-2 overall record and the program’s first trip back to the 5A state title game since 1987. Unfortunately, the Crusaders came up just a bit short as they fell to Mill Valley, 62-37. Back to Keya’s junior season, he was electric as he recorded 71 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss, including four sacks, as well as two fumble recoveries.

For his efforts, Keya was tabbed an All-League second teamer for the Greater Wichita Athletic League.

This is a great pick up for the Pokes as he’s physical off the snap and can shed blocks while staying with the play. He stays at home and doesn’t get ahead of himself if he doesn’t get past the offensive tackle. Because of that, he’s able to display his pursuit skills and has a strong upper body to help hold onto and bring the ball carrier down.

With his size and frame, Keya will bulk up his first few years in the weight room with Rob Glass and should develop nicely into a formidable defender for the Pokes.
