April 14, 2024

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State could wind up landing a former commit who ended up at Arkansas. According to a report from Jon Rothstein, Steve Lutz and Co. are expected to host Razorback transfer guard, Davonte Davis.

Davis entered the transfer portal back on March 20 after four seasons in Fayetteville. The 6-4, 185-pound guard, who was once committed to former OSU coach Mike Boynton, just finished a visit out to Grand Canyon and is headed for a visit at Florida Atlantic.

Devo had a bit of a rough senior season for the Hogs as he averaged just 5.9 points per game on a career-low 36% shooting from the field. He also brought down 3.4 rebounds and dished out two assists per game through 30 games.

Prior to the down fourth season, Devo had a very solid career as he posted 8.5 points on nearly 48% shooting from the field as a freshman, 8.3 points on 43% shooting from the field as a sophomore and his best season as a junior with 11 points per game on nearly 42% shooting from the field.

Following that third season, Davis was named to the SEC All-Defensive team.

According to Arkansas athletics media relations, Devo became just the ninth player in program history to record 900+ points, 400+ rebounds, 200+ assists and 100+ steals in his career.

There are currently two other players in the transfer portal Steve Lutz and Co. are pursuring, Wyoming transfer guard Brendan Wenzel and Drake transfer guard Kevin Overton.
