STILLWATER – Oklahoma State just landed its second commitment out of the transfer portal in as many days, this time out of the Big 12 as Texas Tech forward, Robert Jennings II, announced his commitment Thursday evening.

Jennings II checks in at 6-7, 230 pounds, and is coming off his sophomore season in Lubbock with the Red Raiders. This past season, he started 10 of 33 games, including the final seven of the season, averaging 4.4 points and 3.3 rebounds in just 12.3 minutes per game. He shot nearly 53% from the field and nearly 75% from the free throw line.

Those numbers are up from the 2.7 points and 1.9 rebounds per game as a freshman in 2022-23.

His numbers might not have been as impressive as he would’ve wanted them to be, but Jennings II provides size and strength down low for Lutz and the Cowboys, as well as experience playing in one of the most physically demanding leagues in college basketball. He also has the ability to get up and down the court quickly and can get to the basket, which certainly plays into the style of basketball Lutz likes to run.

As we reported on Wednesday, former Oklahoma State standout, and Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, Moussa Cisse, is currently in Stillwater on a visit. After entering back into the transfer portal after just one season at Ole Miss, Cisse told a source of Pokes Report that Lutz is a good coach and has a plan. Cisse was spotted at O’Brate Stadium Thursday evening at the OSU-BYU baseball game with the entire coaching staff, including Scott Sutton.

Should Lutz land Cisse, that would be a massive get for him and the Cowboys as Moussa not only immediately adds dominance and elite rim protection in the paint, as well as solid offense, but would immediately bolster the fan base.

Jennings joins FIU transfer point guard, Arturo Dean, as the two commitments for Lutz out of the transfer portal. Lutz now has seven roster spots to fill.
