Oklahoma State Offers 2025 McKinney (TX) HS DE Jordan Covington
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State defensive coordinator Bryan Nardo and defensive line coach Paul Randolph have gone back to the McKinney (TX HS well to try and find the Pokes’ next defensive commit as they’ve offered 2025 defensive end, Jordan Covington.
Covington checks in at 6-4, 25- pounds and currently holds 10 offers, with half coming since the turn of the calendar. Including the Pokes, he holds offers from Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Kansas, Missouri, North Texas, Texas State, Tulsa, UNLV and UTEP.
This past season as a junior, Covington played in 12 games for the Lions, recording 22 total tackles, 19 of which were solo stops and 7.0 tackles for loss. He also had six sacks and 24 quarterback hurries, along with two forced fumbles and a pass break up.
He played alongside current Oklahoma State freshman defensive lineman, Jonathan Agumadu, who recorded 37 total tackles, 29 of which were solo stops, 4.0 tackles for loss, six sackls and three quarterback hurries.
Based on his numbers, I’m not really sure why Covington has flown under the radar for as long as he has.
Oklahoma State currently has 10 commitments in the 2025 class, one of which is on the defensive side of the ball in linebacker Kyle Keya out of Wichita (KS) Kapaun Mt. Carmel.
