Addition of Daniels Gives Pokes 2021 Recruiting Class Big Boost
STILLWATER – The addition of Kendal Daniels to the 2021 Oklahoma State recruiting class is a massive boost, not only to excitement level surrounding the players already signed, but to the Pokes’ recruiting ranking.
The Oklahoma State coaching staff has been building a relationship with Daniels since they offered him back in Feb. 2019 and it’s definitely paid off.

Currently sitting at No. 39 in the country, the addition of Daniels bumps the Pokes up to No. 30, with Daniels taking over the No. 1 spot in the recruiting class as the highest rated player.
There’s no question as to the coaching staff’s focus on the defensive side of the ball as Daniels joins fellow All-American and four-star Aden Kelley, four-star linebackers Nick Martin and Collin Oliver, and four-star safety Ty Williams in the signing class.
Daniels, who was granted a release from his letter of intent to Texas A&M earlier this week, is a top-50 player in the 2021 class, as well as the No. 4 overall safety in the country and the No. 1 overall prospect out of Oklahoma and is close to being a five-star prospect by 247Sports.
The 6-4, 198-pound safety out of Beggs helped lead the Demons to a 10-3 overall record and a 2A semifinal berth. He recorded 120 tackles, seven sacks and four interceptions, while hauling in 38 passes for 648 yards and 10 touchdowns on the offensive side. Those numbers led to him earning 2A-7 MVP honors.
He earned All-America status from both MaxPreps and from the All-American Bowl, formerly the Army All-American Game, following the season and was also listed to The Oklahoman’s All-State football team as a defensive back both his junior and senior seasons.
