Oklahoma State in Top Six for Four-Star Defensive Tackle Michael Riles
STILLWATER – Nearly a month after an official visit, Oklahoma State has made the cut for four-star defensive lineman, Michael Riles.
Along with the Cowboys, Riles included Florida, Nebraska, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and UCF.
Riles checks in at 6-3, 235 pounds and is out of Port Arthur (TX) Memorial HS, where he had a first team All-District 8-5A-I performance last season when he posted 45 total tackles, 24 of which came for a loss, as a junior.
Riles took an unofficial visit to UCF back in early April before his OV to Stillwater. He’ll make his way back down to Orlando for an official before the end of May, before he makes his was to College Station and Texas A&M for an official in June.
Pokes Report spoke with Riles following his official visit in Stillwater and this is what he had to say. “It went great, and I had a great time. It was great to see what Oklahoma State was all about and I learned a lot and really enjoyed it.” He also mentioned the best part of his visit was meeting with the coaching staff.
In a follow up with Pokes Report, Riles told Robert Allen that he has stayed in pretty consistient contact with Oklahoma State and defensive line coach Paul Randolph and defensive line recruiter D.J. Linton.
“Oklahoma State is a school that I can see myself at,” Riles said. “I was comfortable there.” Othere players Oklahoma State is recruiting at the defensive end position are John Schobel, who visited on April 26-28. Schobel is 6-4, 225 out of Columbus, Texas and the cousin to Cowboys quarterback pledge Adam Schobel. Visiting in June is McKinney, Texas prospect Jordan Covington (6-3, 270) and he is very interested in the Cowboys. Teammate from last season Jonathan Agumadu is an incoming freshman at linebacker for Oklahoma State.
