Cowboys Get Walk-on Kicker Sam Babbush from Charleston Southern

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State came out of spring football with a Logan Ward as the leader to be both the kickoff specialist as he was a year ago and now as the field goal/PAT kicker as well. Ward is improved in that area, but still not as accurate as the Cowboys are looking for. Ward has the distance, but needs to be more consistent between the uprights. Competition is a good thing and that will take place with Sam Babbush transferring in.

Good deal. His improvement hopefully continues, but 70 to 75% isn't a bad bet if he's needed. I don't understand the turning down scholarships at lower level. Either means his family has money or someones picking up balance of needs (beyond food, medical care, whatever a PWO gets) through NIL I guess. (?)

yeah, there was an article a few weeks ago (I think about our PWO olinemen) where they mentioned that everything is covered much like a scholarship with NIL money.
