STILLWATER – Oklahoma State head coach David Taylor stays on fire recruiting out of the transfer portal as the Cowboys landed a commitment from three-time Michigan All-American, Cameron Amine.

Amine took to his Instagram account on Thursday afternoon to make the announcement. He joins fellow multi-All-American Wyatt Hendrickson, who committed to the Pokes as a heavyweight grad transfer from Air Force.

During his four years at Michigan, he finished with a 66-25 overall record, spending all four years wrestling at 165 pounds. Amine was one of the best wrestlers in the Big Ten this past season as he finished with a 16-9 overall record, 6-3 in duals, with two tech falls, one fall and one major decision, while helping the Wolverines to a second-place finish in the Big Ten tournament behind Penn State with a team score of 123.5 points, the second most in program history.

Amine entering the transfer portal surprised a lot of people as both his brother and father, Jordan and Sam, both wrestled for Michigan, as did one of his uncles and two cousins.

With four years of Big Ten experience going up against Penn State with the Wolverines, there’s no question Amine knows what the trio of David Taylor, Jimmy Kennedy and Thomas Gilman will bring to the Oklahoma State program.

Prior to the retirement of former head coach, an Oklahoma State and wrestling legend, John Smith, the Cowboys landed transfer portal commitments from Michigan State’s Caleb Fish and Wisconsin’s Dean Hamiti.
