Not I, for one.
Oklahoma State a "Tier One" Team According to EA Sports College Football '25
STILLWATER – This news should come as no surprise to any Oklahoma State fan who’s paid attention to the Pokes over the past 10 years, but Mike Gundy has one of the best football teams in college football. And now there’s one more metric proving the point.
On Friday, Cllct released an article based on FOIA requests for revenue payouts for each of the schools in the new EA Sports College Football ‘25. There are four tiers a school can be placed in, 1-4, and it’s all based on how much each school is getting based on their success over the past 10 seasons “(based on the minimum guaranteed royalties).”
- Tier 1: $99,875.16
- Tier 2: $59,925.09
- Tier 3: $39,950.06
- Tier 4: $9,987.52
According to the article from Cllct, this is how the payouts are determined: “According to the documents, tiers are determined by each team’s finish in the final AP Poll over each of the last 10 seasons (2014-2023). When a team finished the year in the AP's Top 25, it received one point.”
Based on win-loss record, the Pokes have consistenly been included among the elite programs, such as Alabama, Clemson and Georgia over the past 10 seasons. It’s just going to be really fun to watch and see how Oklahoma State is precieved in this game as it’s been more than 10 years since EA Sports released a college football game, and the program has grown leaps and bounds in success since 2013-14. With each new article or information that comes out on the game, I get more and more excited for its release.
