Game One of Women's College World Series Set for Oklahoma State
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State softball is headed back to the Women’s College World Series for the fifth time in the past five seasons. On Sunday, the opponent and game time for the Cowgirls was announced and it’s a familiar foe for Kenny Gajewski and Co.
This will be the second time in three seasons these two teams will have faced each other in the WCWS as the Cowgirls beat UF 2-0 in 2022.
The Cowgirls and Gators faced each other earlier in the season in Gainesville, with the Pokes taking a 3-0 win. The Gators went on to finish the season strong, winning the SEC tournament 5-0 against Missouri, before sweeping their regional and beating Baylor two games out of three in the Gainesville Super Regional.
The Cowgirls are coming off five-straight wins in Stillwater, having swept through the Regional with ease, which was followed by an 8-0 run rule win on Friday and a lengthy, rain-delayed 10-4 win on Saturday.
