Oklahoma State Lands Commitment From 2025 TE Isaiah Butler-Tanner
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State football’s official visit weekend continues to prove successful as the Cowboys just landed a commitment from Isaiah Butler-Tanner.
Butler-Tanner checks in at 6-6, 260 pounds and is a tight end out of Killeen (TX) Shoemaker. He chose the Cowboys over offers from Baylor, Boston College, Houston, Louisiana, Texas Tech, Tulsa and UTSA among others.
This is a really solid addition for the Pokes as Butler-Tanner fits the mold of the direction Gundy and Co. are taking the tight end position. He’s obviously big at 6-6, 260 pounds and is physical, but he’s really athletic for his size as he was clocked at 4.8 in the forty.
This past season as a junior, he had 16 catches for 157 yards, 16 runs for 50 yards and two touchdowns. He’s also a really strong blocker, recording eight pancake blocks, an important attribute in how the Cowboys run their offense.
We predicted Butler-Tanner would commit to the Pokes in our article from earlier this week trying to complete the 2025 class for Cowboy football, which you can read here.
