Report: Oklahoma State Reaches Out to St. John's Transfer Glenn Taylor
STILLWATER – Steve Lutz and Co. are looking to put the final touches on the roster heading into the 2024-25 season. So, reports like this one shouldn’t come as a surpise as Jon Rothstein reported Lutz reached out to St. John’s transfer, Glenn Taylor Jr.
Taylor is coming off a junior season with the Red Storm, his first and only season, in which he started 21 of 33 games, averaging 4.4 points on 45% shooting from the floor, with 2.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. He also shot nearly 43% from 3-point range.
He transferred into St. John’s from Oregon State, where he had a much better sophomore season. He started 26 of 32 games, averaging 11.6 points and 3.7 rebounds per game, while averaging 30.1 minutes per game. His numbers that season also included 19 double-figure games.
Size is something this roster is in need of. Taylor is listed as a forward, but he’s more of a guard listed at 6-6, 205 pounds.
As it stands right now, there are currently two open roster spots as Lutz and Co. added West Virginia transfer forward, Patrick Suemnick, earlier this week. Suemnick checks in at 6-8, 235 pounds and averaged 4.1 points and 2.6 rebounds per game this past season for the Mountaineers.
