First Day in Full Pads for Oklahoma State Had Mixed Results

Mike Gundy believes Ollie Gordon II will still have to carry a significant load and he shows each day he is capable including the first day in full pads.

STILLWATER – The first day in full pads is significant but not like it used to be. With head coach Mike Gundy not wanting to see action to the ground, most everything you do once the football pants come on you’ve already done in helmets, shoulder pads and shorts. 

That stated, it is still different in full pads. 

Tuesday’s practice was good in spots for 2023 Doak Walker Award winner, and now on the Walker Watch List to repeat, Ollie Gordon II.
