STILLWATER – It would be real easy to get a panick attack and start screaming the old refrain about how the Cowboys don’t recruit well enough. In the last two weeks four-star quarterback Adam Schobel switched to the family school in TCU and accepted a huge promise of NIL money coming in.

Never ever forget- because we won the battle for Barry Price Ou took an undersized def lineman named Lucious Selmon. The last player chosen in the NFL turned out pretty good for the Forty-niners. Never get too up or down about recruiting.

Just give it a couple of years, same with Kori Blacks brother at Texas!!! They aren't starting in the next couple of years and the old transfer portal opens up and hmmm, Oklahoma State really looks like a better option! I am not saying that will happen but the transfer of Freeman from OU to here really opened my eyes to these possibilities!!!!

No other way about it. Losing Schobel and now Sanders are both loses. The class which started really promising has tumbled since then. Now it's back to diamond in the rough. HCMG now has to work more to polish them on field.

Schobel flip probably won't hurt much, as long as Zane or M smith become a stud. Sanders decision will hurt. Have to do the same to G5 and Div 2 schools what Michigan do to us, pluck their studs.

Lol the class is not "tumbling." With Schobel, I always felt like his foot was sort of halfway out the door in case TCU ever offered - and they did. With Sanders, I know the staff worked hard to get him but in the end it's tough to beat a program like Michigan. I'm sure they outbid us for him (the business degree talk is just window dressing IMO).

We'll be fine.

Don't care how you .spin, the outcomes .. for 20+ years of sustained success this FB staff should produce far better results even way before NIL was an issue…down right depressing how we perform on the recruiting front
