Over/Under: Five Thoughts on Oklahoma State at Tulsa

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State has its first road game of the season as they travel over to Tulsa for an 11 a.m. kick against the Golden Hurricane.

The game is being televised on ESPN2, which is a good thing because Tulsa announced a sellout on Thursday.

Now that I’m back full-time with Pokes Report, we’re bringing back a popular series, Over/Under.

After reading through the article, we ask that you drop a comment below to give your thoughts on if the Pokes will go over/under on each of the topics. Even though it’s Over/Under, much like Vegas, you can choose to push a topic if you feel it won’t be over or under.

Over/Under 250 passing yards for Alan Bowman

Bowman has had a decent start to the 2024 season as he threw for 245 yards and two touchdowns against South Dakota State in the season opener and 326 yards and one touchdown against Arkansas last week. The Golden Hurricane are allowing 183.5 passing yards per game. Can Bowman clear 250 yards?

Over/Under one touchdown for Brennan Presley

Brennan had a really good game against Arkansas, recording nine catches for 91 yards and one touchdown and one rush for three yards and a touchdown. He also had a touchdown called back on an offensive penalty.

Playing against his hometown team, and his younger brother, can Brennan find a way to find pay dirt?

Over/Under 8.5 tackles for loss

The Cowboys combined for 10 tackles for loss against Arkansas this past weekend, with Nick Martin and Obi Ezeigbo combining for eight. Can the Pokes find success against the Golden Hurricane and record at least 8.5?

Over/Under one takeway

The Pokes recovered two fumbles and had a pick six against Arkansas, easily contributing to the win. Whether it’s on special teams or defense, can the Cowboys record at least one takeaway on Saturday? You get bonus points if it’s returned for a score.

Over/Under 10 yard average kickoff/punt return

Kickoff and punt return is a drastically different game than it was even five years ago. On Saturday against Arkansas, Gavin Freeman averaged 23 yards on just one kickoff return and Brennan Presley had just four yards on one punt return. Can the Pokes combine to average at least 10 yards per return?

Over on all.....and Saturday's kick average per your stats averaged over 13 yards so 10 isn't an improvement.
