Oklahoma State Sees Perfection Slip in Lightning Delayed First Season Loss

An old rival came to Stillwater for a battle of ranked teams and after a near two hour delay shook up the Cowgirls scoring the first two goals on the season on them.

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State’s unbeaten streak came to an end Thursday night at Neal Patterson Stadium as No. 21 Colorado knocked off the 12th-ranked Cowgirls, 2-1. With the loss, OSU fell to 8-1-1 and 1-1-0 in Big 12 play, while the Buffaloes improved to 8-1-0 and 2-0-0 in the conference.

A match that was delayed starting for just over two hours due to lightning was statistically even as Colorado outshot the Cowgirls, 11-9, while OSU held a 6-5 advantage in corner kicks.
