Here’s our five Over/Under predictions for the Pokes’ Big 12 opener against the Utes.
After reading through the article, we ask that you drop a comment below to give your thoughts on if the Pokes will go over/under on each of the topics. Even though it’s Over/Under, much like Vegas, you can choose to push a topic if you feel it won’t be over or under.
Over/Under 150 team rushing yards
As we all know, the Cowboys have struggled to run the ball the first three weeks of the season, with Ollie Gordon II having just 62 carries for 216 yards, but he does have four touchdowns. As a team, through the first three weeks, the Cowboys have just 370 total rushing yards. The Utes have held their opponents to 444 yards, just 109 per game to start the season. Can the Pokes combine for at least 150 rushing yards against the Utes?
Over/Under Alan two passing touchdowns
Alan Bowman is off to a really good start to his seventh season of college football, going 75-of-112 for 967 yards and eight touchdowns with two picks. He threw two touchdowns against South Dakota State, one against Arkansas and five against Tulsa. The Utes defense have allowed just three passing touchdowns all season long. If the run game struggles, can Bowman get his passing game going?
Over/Under 250 passing yards for Utah
The Utes, even with Cam Rising missing some time with a hand injury, have combined for 229 passing yards per game. As for the Pokes, the defense is giving up 305.33 passing yards per game, with 416 yards coming against Arkansas. Can the Cowboys reel things back in and hold the Utes to 250 passing yards?
Over/Under 40% on 3rd down conversions for the Utes
Utah has really struggled through the first three games converting on third down, going just 13-for-40, or converting just 32.5% of the time. As for the Pokes, they’ve held opponents to just a touch over 39% on 3rddown. Can the Cowboys hold the Utes to less than 40% on 3rd down conversion?
Over/Under 46 yards per punt
While no one wants to see an Oklahoma State punt, Wes Pahl and Hudson Kaak are averaging 47.64 yards per punt. Can they combine for at least 46 yards per punt?
