STILLWATER – If you’re frustrated or mad, worse than that PO’d that Oklahoma State football is on a three game losing streak and there are many fans believe the Cowboys may not be able to win again this season. Now, I think that head coach Mike Gundy and his staff will remedy some oftheir problems in the bye week and that Oklahoma State will win agian this season. However, this season will not end the way many of us had hoped.

Where do we find replacement coaches? The highest paid OC in the conference is not delivering a return on investment.

Well Gundy was either absurdly wrong in his assessment of player talent or his coaching group sucks. Which one is it? It has to be one or the other.

Roughrider,

In response to your legit question I would say that the players are capable of winning and it's on the coaches.

I offer that answer as this group of players won 10 games last year but only after the coaches were able to make adjustments to their way of thinking and coaching that led to the reversal of fortunes that the team experienced after tue the Southern Alabama game last year.

Count the number of plays when we used the whole field - sideline to sideline and deep - vs within the hash marks.

Perhaps our coaches should have taken their play calling from these simulations.

Not quite sure of the point of this article. A few thoughts....

Given that the portal and NIL have been the biggest stories in college athletics for a couple years, I would not say the format for improving is new. Also, there has never been equality in college athletics. There have been rules that programs are supposed to follow (some do some don't) but there have always been programs with much larger budgets and greater assets than others. It's just manifesting itself in a different way now. That said, I'm all in on a salary cap. It would level the playing field some but that and more rules will not lead to an equality utopia.

Also, while the portal is obviously the best way to provide immediate help for a team, recruiting is still the best way to procure talent. Yes, even the best programs use the portal but a majority of their starters and contributors come from recruiting. Lastly, let's stop the whining about the loss of walk-ons. Every school will be playing with the same number of scholarships (which is one example of equality btw). If you don't want to lose the walk-ons then use the extra 20 scholarships on the 20 best walk-ons. The group of five schools are the ones that are justified in whining about the roster size limit/scholarship number increase. There will now be over a 1,000 more scholarships available for players at the power conference schools....the same schools with more money too.
