Oklahoma State Lands Commitment From 2025 Center Mekhi Ragland
STILLWATER – Steve Lutz and Co. just landed the second commitment of the 2025 class as big man Mekhi Ragland has committed to Oklahoma State on Tuesday.
He chose the Pokes over DePaul, Georgia State, Mississippi State and Ole Miss among others.
Checking in at 6-10, 250 pounds, Ragland is originally out of Lilburn, GA, where he played for Berkmar High School last fall, but currently plays for Sunrise Christian in Wichita, KS. Ragland made his official visit to Stillwater in early September.
He played this past summer with Team Huncho on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit.
Ragland is very much like today’s big man as he can move the floor well and is effective from the elbows out to the 3-point line, although outside shots aren’t his go-to. He’s good on the block, where his size makes him hard to move off a rebound. Like most HS players, he’ll need to work on his defensive game once he shows up at the next level, but it’s a good starting point for Lutz and Co.
Ragland joins four-star shooting guard out of Virginia, Ryan Crotty. You can read about the sharpshooting 3-point specialist here.
