Over/Under: Five Stat Predictions for Oklahoma State at BYU
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State, coming off an open week, desperately needs a win as they’e started Big 12 play with three-straight losses. They’ll have a tough go of it as they’re on the road in Provo, UT, against undefeated No. 13 BYU.
After reading through the article, we ask that you drop a comment below to give your thoughts on if the Pokes will go over/under on each of the topics. Even though it’s Over/Under, much like Vegas, you can choose to push a topic if you feel it won’t be over or under.
Over/Under 50 yards receiving for Brennan Presley
It’s been a bit of a light season for Presley, posting just 337 yards and four touchdowns on 36 receptions. That includes 48 yards two weeks ago in the loss to West Virginia. Regardless of who the starting quarterback is going to be, can Presley haul in at least 50 yards out in Provo?
Over/Under two rushing team touchdowns
With the rushing struggles this season, I don’t feel comfortable enough to pick an individual rusher. But if we take a look at the BYU game last year, Ollie rushed for five touchdowns. Not a lot of rushing tuddies this season, but can the Pokes combine for at least two rushing scores?
Over/Under three total tackles for Justin Wright
This is such a fun aspect of this game as linebacker Justin Wright was cleared, has practiced the past few weeks and will be suiting up for this game. It’s been a long while since we’ve seen Wright out on the field, and with Nick Martin out, Wright will definitely play a role. Will he record at least three total tackles?
Over/Under 150 rushing yards allowed
BYU is not a rushing team as they’ve combined for just over 900 yards, with quarterback Jake Retzlaff the leading rusher with 184 yards. The Cowboys have really struggled stopping the rush this season, but can they hold a primary passing team to 150 yards or less?
Over/Under two field goals made
Not a lot of chances for field goals against West Virginia, but Ward has been solid most of the season going 10-of-13 on field goals. Can Ward make at least two field goals against the Cougars tonight?
