Oklahoma State Updates Depth Chart Heading Into Baylor Game

STILLWATER – Much like most teams across the country, Oklahoma State is dealing with some injuries, with a few starters missing some time.

On Monday, Cowboy football sent out an updated depth chart ahead of the Baylor game.

One of the glaring absences in the game against BYU last week was safety, Trey Rucker. Backup Parker Robertson got the nod and played well, recorded 11 total tackles and one interception. Rucker is currently listed as an ‘Or’ with Robertson.

Quarterback Garret Rangel started against BYU and played well but left the game late in the second quarter with a shoulder injury. It’s been reported as a broken collar bone, which requires surgery, and he’s no longer listed on the depth chart. Alan Bowman is now listed as the starter again, with true freshman Maealiuaki Smith as the second string.

Mike Gundy said during his Monday availability linebacker Nick Martin is still out for a while, with Jeff Roberson and Justin Wright playing prominent roles on the depth chart.

Running back Ollie Gordon, despite getting banged up against BYU, is still listed as the No. 1 running back.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
does anybody have any thoughts or comments as to why Obi is starting at LB instead of Wright?

Strong side? Weak side? cover skills?

How long do you want to ignore this user?
Because Obi is not really playing LB. He plays pass rusher. He is really more of a DE, or LB that is walked up on the line of scrimmage. Totally different position and skill set than Justin Wright has.
