Over/Under: Five Stat Predictions for Oklahoma State at Baylor
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State got as close as its been all season long to a Big 12 win last week against BYU as the Pokes led 35-31 with just over a minute left in the game. However, the Cougars drove the field and scored a touchdown to win 38-35. The Pokes are back in action on Saturday down in Waco, TX, looking to finally put a W in the column against the Bears.
After reading through the article, we ask that you drop a comment below to give your thoughts on if the Pokes will go over/under on each of the topics. Even though it’s Over/Under, much like Vegas, you can choose to push a topic if you feel it won’t be over or under.
Over/Under 100 rushing yards for Ollie Gordon
It was one of the most refreshing storylines of the season last week as Gordon was seemingly back to his old self, rushing for 107 yards and two touchdowns and had 20 receiving yards and one touchdown. The Baylor defense isn’t as good as BYU, giving up roughly 160 yards per game and nearly 360 total yards per game. When Ollie is confident, he’s one of the best backs in the country. Can last week against BYU boost Ollie enough to give him at least 100 rushing yards?
Over/Under 25 passes for Alan Bowman
Bowman came into the game in the late second quarter last week against BYU and went 11-of-19 passing for 85 yards. He threw at least 25 passes in the first five games of the season, but hasn’t clear 20 in the past two. There’s no question the Cowboys will have success if they can run the ball well, but can Alan throw at least 25 passes against the Bears?
Over/Under 6.0 yards per play for Baylor
Oklahoma State allowed 7.4 yards per play against BYU, with nearly 17 yards per completion. The Cowboys’ defense has struggled quite a bit, but can they hold the Bears to 6.0 yards per play on Saturday? Missed tackles, or hopefully lack thereof will play a role in this stat.
Over/Under 60 total tackles for Oklahoma State
The Cowboys combined for 54 total tackles last week against BYU, with the Cougars combining for 67. Backup Parker Robertson led the way in stops for the Pokes with 11. He’ll get the chance to play quite a bit in this game with Cam Epps out for the rest of the season with a torn ACL, but Trey Rucker should be back. Can the Cowboys combine for at least 60 total tackles? Once again, missed tackles, or hopefully lack thereof will (obviously) play a role in this stat.
Over/Under one made field goal for Logan Ward
Ward has really struggled the past few games, missing three in the past four games, including one last week against BYU. The Cowboys need Ward to make field goals to win games, so can he have at least one make against Baylor?
