STILLWATER – The NCAA released the seedings and brackets for the NCAA Championships taking place from March 18-20 in St. Louis, Mo. Oklahoma State will send nine Cowboys to the event with four wrestlers earning top-10 seeds in their brackets, including top-seeded Daton Fix at 133 pounds.

This is the second time Fix has been named the No. 1 seed at the NCAA tournament, after getting the top seed in 2019 where he finished his freshman season as the runner-up after a controversial finish in the championship match. After not competing for the Pokes last season, Fix returns to the event boasting a 9-0 record, including eight bonus-point wins and four falls. In his last outing, he collected his second Big 12 individual championship in as many appearances at the conference tournament.

Two other Cowboys earned top-five seeds in their respective brackets, Boo Lewallen (149) and AJ Ferrari (197). Both wrestlers earned the fourth seed in their weight classes after winning Big 12 Championships in Tulsa.

Lewallen, a two-time All-American, won his third conference championship last week, joining Zack Esposito and Reggie Wright as the only 149 pounders to win three conference titles at OSU. At 16-1 this season, Lewallen is tied for the team lead in wins and went undefeated in duals. His only loss is to No. 3 seed Brock Mauller (MIZZ), in a 7-5 tiebreaker match at the Cowboy Challenge Tournament. He will look to improve upon an eighth place finish at the 2018 NCAA Championship.
