STILLWATER – It appears Oklahoma State linebacker, Collin Oliver, has made his decision about next season.

Oliver, who suffered a lower leg fracture in the first half against Arkansas, was set for a big senior season. Before the injury, he had recorded four total tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack, seven quarterback hurries and one pass break up.

The Senior Bowl represents a great opportunity for Oliver to prove his potential further to NFL administrators.

“No doubt, that is the way I look at it,” Oliver said of the week he will spend in Mobile being coached by NFL coaches and in front of NFL personnel executives. “The NFL is nothing to play with. it is a business andif I go there and do the things that I need to do to get eyes on me and get coaches to want me. I feel that I am ready to do that.”

This sack as a freshman in Bedlam was perhaps, the most important of his career.

Throughout his career, Oliver recorded 134 total tackles, 40.5 tackles for loss, 23.5 sacks, seven pass break ups, five forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.

“It has been a ride and that is the best way to describe it,” Oliver said to Robert Allen onhis radio show on Triple Play Sports Radio. “I haven’t really taken in what this school has meant to me, football up to this point, but just what OSU has meant to me. It’s been a lot, it’s been a ride.”

He played a pivotal role in the Bedlam win over Oklahoma back in 2021, recording two sacks late in the game, including the game-ending sack.

Following the 2021 season, he was tabbed second team All-Big 12 by both the league’s coaches and the AP, the Unanimous Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year, a multi freshman All-American and a finalist for the FWAA and Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year.

He was second team All-Big 12 both in 2022 and 2023.

Collin was one of the earliest HS players I covered once I started working for Robert. Then his four years in Stillwater. He's going to go down as one of my most favorite players I've covered. Great on the field and an even better person off the field.
