Oklahoma State Gets Another Bradley at D-End/OLB, Former 5-Star Chandavian Bradley
STILLWATER – Tuesday night at 9 p.m. and Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy’s cell phone rang and on the other end was a former Under Armour All-American, Top 40 national recruit, and top six edge rusher in the class of 2023 in Chandavian Bradley. The former standout at Platte County High School in Missouri that chose Tennessee over South Carolina, Texas A&M, and a strong late push from Deion Sanders and Colorado coming out of high school was telling Gundy he is choosing the Cowboys over Kansas after making official visits to Stillwater on Nov. 10 and to Kansas last weekend.
The 6-4, 242 pound Bradley is helping the No. 3-ranked Hutchinson Community College Dragons toward the NJCAA National Championship. The next step for Bradley and Hutch will be Dec. 8 at No. 2-ranked Georgia Military College.
This season Bradley; who was also recruited by South Carolina, North Carolina State, Memphis, Georgia State, Louisiana, North Texas, and UTSA; has 23 total tackles, 12 unassisted tackles, six tackles-for-loss, and a sack. Hutch is 9-1 on the season and went 5-1 in the Jayhawk Conference.
Bradley was well known in the recruiting circles in the class of 2023. He came out of Platte County having helped them to a third round playoff loss and a championship in his freshman season. He also played basketball and in track and field had a 5-10 high jump and a 41-foot triple jump. His last season showed 35 total tackles, eight tackles-for-loss, and two sacks. He also had two fumbles caused.
He redshirted at Tennessee in the 2023 season without appearing in a game. He left Tennessee in July of this past summer to enroll at Hutchinson C.C. Now, he joins recently committed defensive end Rashod Bradley (no relation) and Texas standout Michael Riles as the players at that position on defense in the class. The class that is growing rapidly now has 17 commitments and there will likely be more.
