Longtime Kansas Football Assistant and Former Player Clint Bowen Hired as OSU Analyst
STILLWATER – Sources have confirmed that former Kansas hard hitting safety and longtime assistant coach as well as one-time interim head coach at Kansas, Clint Bowen is joining Oklahoma State as an offensive analyst. Bowen, most recently has been head coach at Lawrence High School but he stepped down two weeks ago. Now, he joins a friend in coaching in Doug Meacham, the new Oklahoma State offensive coordinator as an analyst for his side of the football.
The Lawrence Journal-World newspaper first reported the story having heard from Bowen personally.
Bowen has 24-years invested in college football, most of it at Kansas where he has coached the defense, special teams, tight ends, running backs, safeties, and linebackers. He has been the defensive coordinator on three different occasions. He has also coaches at TCU, North Texas, Western Kentucky, and Minnesota.
He has coached at Kansas alone 21 seasons.
He grew up outside of Lawrence and hed his high school (Lawrence High) to state titles in football and track. He started his college career at Bulter County C.C. before transferring to KU to play safety for the Jayhawks for three seasons.
