STILLWATER – First, Merry Christmas. It’s like my good friend Steve Diminuco says, “the sun does come up.” Steve is a Texas alum and Longhorn fan, so he knows.

My wife and I were driving into Stillwater on Monday (Dec. 23) night for a function and we caught the first glimpse of Boone Pickens Stadium at night. I turned to my wife and said, “you know I had no idea.” My wife didn’t let me finish.

"This season may have distanced those memories, but they are never erased.

It is time to build back."

Truer words were never spoken.

and I love that picture at the top of the page of BPS lit up at night. Outstanding

Gundys biggest issue last year was going 0-9 in conference, not some press conference statement. Rest of the stuff are all add ons.

Nice Robert, You pretty much only reported the truth on the whole contract situation and that Friday meeting, but I guess someone threatened you with loss of your job as sideline reporter if YOU ACTUALLY DID YOUR JOB AS A JOURNALIST! Quite amazing!!!

Thanks for the article Robert. You and your family have a very happy and blessed holiday. I'm encouraged and excited about the new staff on both sides of the ball. Mostly their enthusiasm and hard work. They have continued to compete in the transfer arena. The recruiting staff has obviously done a tremendous job of identifying potential that we can have a chance to sign. Personally, the reset had to happen and yes that included the board of regents. I don't believe we would have seen the wholesale changes needed without extreme action. I'm completely satisfied with the everything that went down and our future. Maybe the BOR needed to be the fall guys to take some pressure off the AD and new President. I don't know but the result is exactly what we needed. I don't think Mike makes these complete changes without that. We would have been sitting in BPS next year regardless. Mikes our coach and he has been the best thing ever for this program. However he and his staff got comfortable and When you get comfortable and avoid making the necessary changes needed, someone has to step in and they did just that. Thank goodness we are on the way back because our big 12 partners are jumping at the new world of pay to play. I'm confident we can get back on top soon. Go Pokes!!

May the "Mean" Grinch, "Sour" Scrooge and "Bad" Santa visit the Oklahoma A&M BoR and leave each of them switches, coal and big turd sandwiches!

Merry Christmas to this online community! GO POKES!!!

Go Pokes. I believe Dunn was OC too long because of his friendship with Gundy. Looking forward to see how the changes work out

Didn't Gundy already fire the OC and DC before the Executive Session of the BoR meeting, and weren't all of these changes ALREADY happening, including Gundy putting some of his salary towards the Program. The grand standing days later by the out of control Chair was not helpful and was unnecessary.

Everything had already been done.

The BoR tinkling match happened in public for all to see. Poorly managed by those who are charged with protecting OSU. Their PR failure hurt OSU and the front door to OSU the football program. Totally unacceptable and unprofessional. GO POKES!!!

Not a real smart PR move to try and INTIMIDATE a couple of media members which they apparently tried to do to both Robert and John Holcomb! Especially John who works for a MAJOR OUTLET IN TULSA!!!
