Oklahoma State Lands Commitment From Virginia Transfer Defensive Lineman Michael Diatta
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State has just added another defensive line commitment out of the transfer portal. On Thursday evening, Virginia defensive lineman, Michael Diatta, took to social media to make the announcement official.
Diatta chose the Pokes over offers from UCLA, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest. Diatta, who visited Stillwater back on December 19, checks in at 6-4, 292 pounds, and is originally out of Cane Ridge High School in Nashville, Tennessee, in the 2021 class.
He’s spent the past four seasons at Virginia, with this past season being his most productive. In 11 games, Diatta recorded 31 total tackles, 13 of which were solo stops, including two tackles for loss and a half sack.
In 2023, Diatta recorded 18 total tackles, six of which were solo stops, one tackle for loss and one sack.
For comparison, Collin Clay had 17 total tackles across 13 games in 2024. Pretty decent numbers for an interior lineman.
Diatta is now the 17th overall commitment out of the transfer portal for the Cowboys, and the eighth on the defensive side of the ball. Grantham has now committed and signed four defensive linemen.
