Oklahoma State Adds Auburn Receiver Sam Jackson Through Transfer Portal
STILLWATER – After visiting the past two days former Auburn wide receiver Sam Jackson V went home and has committed to Oklahoma State. Jackson becomes the 19th player to commit to the Cowboys through the transfer portal, the second receiver jioining Shamar Rigby of Purdue,, and he is the sevent skill position player on offense. Jackson V reportedly will play outside at the X-and-Z positions. He has quite a history.
This past season Jackson played wide receiver for Auburn with two receptions for 63-yards and a touchdown. The touchdown came in the opener against Alabam A&M. He transferred into Aburn from Cal where he was a quarterback in 2023 for the Bears. He completed 51-of-97 for 556-yards and five touchdowns. He also scored two rushing touchdowns.
Prior to that Jackson was at TCU for two seasons as a quarterback where he played sparingly. He did have two rushing touchdowns as a Horned Frog.
Originally out of Napervillew Centrail High School in Naperville, Ill. He played both positions in high school. He had 50 catches for 847-yards and 14 touchdowns as a senior. He also threw for 1,727-yards and 16 touchdowns.
The 5-11, 187 pound jackson is certainly live for the reverse pass.
