STILLWATER – Oklahoma State has added its second transfer of the day, as well as its second transfer out of UCLA in corner, Jaylin Davies.

Davies will go down as one of the most highly decorated players that the Cowboys have pulled out of the portal. He visited over the weekend and had one more trip to take before making his decision on Monday.

Davies is the 22nd overall transfer added out of the transfer portal by the Cowboy coaching staff. He is the tenth defensive player taken and he is the second cornerback. Oklahoma State is likely through at that position.

The native of Rancho Cucamonga, Calf. was a star at Mater Dei High School where he was a Top 100 prospect and considered a Top 18 cornerback in the nation. He was selected and played in the 2021 Under Armour All-American Game after helping Mater Dei to an 11-2 record and a runner-up finish in the CIF Championship. That season he had 26 tackles, two interceptions, and three passes defended. He started out in college at Oregon and played in two games as a freshman (vs. Stony Brook and vs. Oklahoma). He had three tackles in the Alamo Bowl loss to Oklahoma.

He transferred to UCLA and over the last three seasons he has appeared in 40 games, starting 24 of those games. He has 108 total tackles as a Bruin with two tackles-for-loss, a half a sack, four interceptions, and 11 passes defended.

A redshirt junior this past season with the Bruins, Davies checks in at 6-0, 180 pounds. He recorded 30 total tackles across 12 games this past season, 21 tackles of which were solo stops. He recorded 0.5 tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks and two pass break ups. He had five of his tackles in the game vs. Nebraska.

Most of his interceptions came in the 2022 season as he picked passes against Alabama State, Arizona State, and in the Sun Bowl vs. Pittsburgh where he returned that pick for 52-yards and a touchdown.

He is a long, tall, corner that is athletic with excellent cover skills.
