Linebacker Jeff Roberson Signs With Minnesota
STILLWATER – Former Oklahoma State linebacker, Jeff Roberson, is headed to the Big Ten. It was announced on Thursday Roberson has signed with the Minnesota Gophers.
While he hasn’t made an official announcement as of Friday morning, he has changed his social media accounts and reposted reports of his signing.
Roberson entered the portal as a grad transfer back on Jan. 6 after five seasons in Stillwater. He played a significant amount of snaps this past season as a redshirt senior following the injury of Nick Martin.
He played in all 12 games, recording 58 total tackles, 42 of which were solo stops. He also recorded 8.5 tackles for a loss of 39 yards, 3.0 sacks, seven quarterback hurries and an interception in the final game of the season against Colorado.
His performance in the West Virginia game in 2024 was the best of his career as he recorded 12 tackles, six of which were solo stops, 2.0 tackles for loss and one sack.
A move to Minnesota makes sense, even with how quickly a commitment was announced, as Roberson was recruited by P.J. Fleck and his staff coming out of Choctaw (OK) HS back in class of 2020.
