Oklahoma State Fans Will Soon Get to Meet New Coaches and New Football Players
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State football fans I know are anxious and can’t wait to meet the new members of head coach Mike Gundy’s football staff. Gundy knows that, but the coaches are pretty busy right now. Yes, the semester just started but they do have hours during the week that they can meet with players, even conduct walk-thrus. The staff is meeting together and puting together playbooks and plans. You can’t get much done without a plan and so much of that is going on right now.
However, talking with Coach Gundy, he is anxious for the fans to get to know all of the new coaches on staff. Fans know Doug Meacham, at least many do from Meacham’s days as an Oklahoma State player and later assistant coach. They’ll get an update from Doug and get to meet the likes of defensive coordinator Todd Grantham, linebackers coach Dr. Kap Dede, quarterbacks coach Kevin Johns, and returning former players in Andrew Mitchell and Cooper Bassett as offensive line coaches.
Gundy told me that they will all do interviews with Orange Power Studios that will be posted for all Cowboys fans to see on social media. Gundy said later, the new players would do something similar. The plan is to roll out plenty of material for fans to get a great grasp on their new coaches and players.
