STILLWATER – I’m a big fan of the Snyder family with the job hall-of-fame inductee Bill Snyder did turning around the fortunes of the losingest program in college football when he took over in Kansas State. Now, Mike Gundy has his son, Sean, a former All-American punter and longtime special teams coach on the Oklahoma State staff. Sean Snyder came on board right before last season.

Talking with the recently retire Joe DeForest, one of the best special teams coaches that I’ve ever been around, he was very complimentary as Snyder has been of DeForest.

“Anytime we were going against Kansas State and Sean it was a battle,” DeForest said. “Sean is one of the best I’ve ever seen.”

Oklahoma State on their social media also have rolled out linebackers coach Dr. Kap Dede. Yes, he has a doctorate degree. A smart coach that comes highly regarded with new defensive coordinator Todd Grantham.

Later on Thursday (Jan. 23) head coach Mike Gundy is having a press conference along with his new coordinators in Grantham and offensive coordinator and former Cowboys player and assistant coach Doug Meacham on offense.

Pokes Report will have full coverage.
