While seemingly every other football conference in America was dropping schedules, the Big 12 sat back and waited. Well, wait no more Oklahoma State fans the conference announced it will be dropping the 2025 conference football schedule on Tuesday morning at 10 CT.
It’s about time.
Obviously, things didn’t go well at all for the Cowboys in 2024 as they had their worst season in decades, going 0-9 after playing for a Big 12 title the year before. But the bright side is it was just the second losing season in 20 years under head coach Mike Gundy.

While game times and TV details have yet to be announced, the Cowboys kick the 2025 season off hosting UT Martin on August 30. Then a gauntlet game as they’ll travel out to Eugene, OR, for a showdown with the Oregon Ducks on Sept. 6. The Pokes will finish non-conference play off by hosting Tulsa on Sept. 20, following an open week.
