STILLWATER – Oklahoma State’s David Taylor made a big splash in the recruiting world on Sunday.

Dreshaun Ross, the No. 3 overall prospect in the 2026 class according to FloWrestling, took to Instagram to make the announcement.

“I’m excited to announce that I will be furthering my academic and athletic career at the University of Oklahoma State,” Ross said in his release. “I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my family, friends, coaches and community that have helped and supported me throughout this journey, Go Pokes!”

Ross, who chose the Pokes over Iowa, Iowa State and Penn State, is out of Fort Dodge, IA, and checks in at 6-3, 195 pounds. This commitment comes a week after the Pokes had a successful trip up to Iowa with wins over Northern Iowa and Iowa State, and few weeks before they make the trip back to Iowa for the season-ending dual against Iowa.

Ross had qualified for the Team USA U17 World Team last summer, but suffered a shoulder injury at Fargo, which held him out of the tournament, as well as his football season in the fall following surgery.

Entering his freshman season, Ross won the 16U men’s freestyle national title at 195 pounds.

Ross joins top-25 wrestler in the class, Kellen Wolbert, out of Wisconsin.
