STILLWATER – Oklahoma State wrestling and first-year head coach David “Magic Man” Taylor have been plowing all season moving up in both the team and individual rankings. However, for the past month there has bee no room for the No. 3 Cowboys to move up with powerhouses No. 1 Penn State and No. 2 Iowa cemented in the polls. Then last Friday, Penn State destroyed Iowa 30-8 and bumped the Hawkeyes from the ranks of the unbeaten. Now, the coaches in the NWCA Poll and Inter Mat have moved Oklahoma State up to No. 2. The Cowboys beat Missouri 36-3 on Sunday and did it in front of 10,740 fans inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.

Oklahoma State holds a perfect 12-0 record this season and, following Iowa’s defeat last Friday, is joined by Penn State (11-0) as the only undefeated teams in the country.

Oklahoma State has put together a +317 point differential thus far, its best through 12 duals since 1996-97, and compiled a 47.4% bonus rate as a team, which would be the program’s highest in over 90 years. Additionally, Sunday’s crowd of 10,740 cemented a season attendance average of 7,597, marking the program’s highest single-season amount on record and a nearly 30% increase of its 2024 average.

The new individual rankings are out as well and as we included those in our story, you can see they did not change much at all.

The Cowboys will make a short trip down to No. 16 Little Rock on Saturday, February 8, for their penultimate dual of the season. That contest is slated for 3 p.m. CT and will be available for streaming on UFC Fight Pass.
