Oklahoma State Looking to Snap Six-Game Losing Stream In Fort Worth on Wednesday
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State is looking to make it two wins in a row as they travel down to Fort Worth for a showdown with the Horned Frogs of TCU.
Coincidentally enough, the Cowboys will be looking to snap a six-game losing streak to the Horned Frogs in Fort Worth. The last road win over the Frogs for the Pokes came back on Feb. 15, 2017, with a 71-68 win. Leyton Hammonds had 21 points, Jeff Carroll had 17 and Jawun Evans had 16.
The Cowboys are coming off an 86-73 win over Arizona State, with six Cowboys reaching double-figure scoring, with Jamyron Keller leading the way with 14 points. That performance is coming off a nine-point loss on the road to No. 5 Houston last week, 72-63.
While a loss is a loss and never a good thing, there was plenty of good to take away from the loss to Houston. The Cowboys limited their turnovers and went on several runs to keep it a single-digit game down the stretch. That carried over to the game against the Sun Devils on Sunday, regardless of how poorly ASU is playing right now.
As a team, the Horned Frogs are second-to-last in the conference in scoring with just 63.4 points per game on a league-worst 40% shooting from the floor. They’re averaging nearly 32 boards per game
Noah Reynolds is leading the way in scoring for the Frogs with 15 points per game on 48% shooting from the floor.
Ernest Udeh Jr. has also been a force down low as he’s eighth in the conference with 1.3 blocks per game and bringing down 7.6 boards per game, nearly five on the defensive end.
Tipoff for the game is scheduled for 6 p.m. and will be televised on the CBS Sports Network.
