TULSA, Okla. – There are six Oklahoma State Cowboys paced by top seeds Dean Hamiti Jr. (174), Luke Surber (197), andf heavyweight Wyatt Hendrickson wrestling in the championships of the Big 12 tonight at the BOK Center in Tulsa, but Sunday afternoon three other Cowboys played out to the end their Big 12 Championship tournament as Caleb Fish (157) and Teague Travis (149) lost in the consolation finals to finish fourth in the Big 12. Cameron Amine wrestled and with a medical forfeit from his opponent finished fifth.

The Cowboys have 149.5 team points with one session remaining and lead second-place Northern Iowa by 12 points. UNI has four finalists and no other team has more than two. It sure looks like the Cowboys are going to reclaim the Big 12 Wrestling Championship.

Teague Travis got fourth

Travis knocked off South Dakota State's Avery Allen, 3-0, to reach the 149-pound third-place match and clinch an automatic berth to the national tournament. Fish then earned his first pin of the year in a victory over Wyoming's Jared Hill for shot at third place at 157 pounds. Amine nearly made it three-for-three but fell in a tight match the top-seeded Terrell Barraclough of Utah Valley, 2-1.

Amine would go on to claim a win via medical forfeit in the 165-pound fifth-place match, while Travis and Fish each dropped decisions in their next bout to finish in fourth place.

There are now nine Cowboy wrestlers who have secured their bid to the 2025 NCAA Championships, while Reece Witcraft will have to earn an at-large bid at 133 pounds to reach the tournament.
