Oklahoma State Softball Run Rules Texas Tech 10-1 in Series Finale
LUBBOCK, Texas – In a matchup featuring two of college softball's elite pitchers, Ruby Meylan and No. 15/13 Oklahoma State were 10-1 run-rule victors over NiJaree Canady and No. 16/15 Texas Tech at Rocky Johnson Field Sunday.

Oklahoma State put the pressure on Texas Tech early with four runs in the first inning. Karli Godwin singled in Megan Delgadillo, and a Tia Warsop bunt combined with a Texas Tech error allowed her to round the bases, scoring Rosie Davis and pinch runner Tara Vandewater.
Davis extended the lead to five in the second with an RBI single to score Rachael Hathoot.
Amanda Hasler added another run with an RBI single to score Warsop in the third inning.
The Red Raiders got a run back in the fourth with a solo home run from Alexa Langeliers.
The Cowgirls pushed the lead to seven in the fifth inning thanks to a two run homer from Hasler with Tallen Edwards on base. With two runners on base and two outs, Godwin brought the game into run rule territory with a two RBI single to score Davis and Hathoot.
Offensive standouts for the Cowgirls included Hasler (2-for-2 with a home run and three RBIs), Godwin (2-for-4 with three RBIs) and Davis (1-for-1 with an RBI.)
