
Oklahoma State in the Mix to Land Iowa Transfer Guard Brock Harding
STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State Cowboys are still playing basketball, but the coaching staff is still working on putting together next year’s roster and they’re in the mix to land talented transfer guard, Brock Harding.
According to a report from Joe Tipton of On3, Harding’s agent has said Harding’s down to six schools: Oklahoma State, Louisville, South Carolina, TCU, Texas Tech and Washington.
This past season as a sophomore, Harding starting 24 of 33 games, averaging 8.8 points on 45% shooting from the floor, 40% from 3-point range and nearly 77% from the free throw line. He also brought down 2.3 boards per game, had 174 assists, 77 turnovers and 50 steals on the year.
Those numbers are up from 3.4 points per game on 36% shooting from the floor and 37% from 3-point range. As a freshman, Harding had 89 assists, 26 turnovers and 27 steals.
Lutz and Co. currently have three high school players in the class of Ryan Crotty, Mekhi Ragland and Ben Ahmed. As for the current roster, guard Arturo Dean, Connor Dow, Jamyron Keller and Andrija Vukovic still have eligibility to return next season.
There will be a big battle for everyone portal player OSU goes after this offseason, especially against teams like Texas Tech and Louisville, who was reported to pay anywhere between $8-10 million in NIL. A major aspect of the offseason for Lutz and Co. will not only be recruiting the portal but recruiting his own players back to campus for next season.
