STILLWATER – Oklahoma State and David Taylor are reportedly off to a hot start in the transfer portal following the season. According to a report from On3, the Cowboys are set to sign former Iowa State All-American, Casey Swiderski.

Swiderski has spent the last three seasons with the Cyclones and will have two years of eligibility remaining after missing the entirety of the 2024-25 season due to a knee injury sustained back in early November.

He finished the 2023-24 season with a 24-5 overall record and an All-America honor after a seventh-place finish at 149 pounds at nationals.

Swiderski’s last time on the mat against the Cowboys came in January 2024 as the No. 5 Cowboys beat the No. 4 Cylcones in Stillwater, 21-12. He beat then-ranked No. 17 Sammy Alvarez with an 8-2 decision, finally getting the Cyclones on the board.

The previous year up in Ames, Carter Young beat Swiderski with a 3-0 decision at 141 pounds.

This is a big boost for Taylor and Co. Originally out of Dundee, Mich., Swiderski is a two-time NCAA qualifier in 2023 and 2024, finishing fourth at Big 12s in 2023 and third in 2024.
