Oklahoma State Lands Seton Hall Transfer Guard Isaiah Coleman
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State and Steve Lutz is on a roll as they’ve landed a second commitment of the day, this time Seton Hall guard, Isaiah Coleman.
Coleman was in Stillwater this past weekend on an official visit. He joins Mississippi State transfer guard, Kanye Clary, who committed early Friday afternoon.
Coleman checks in at 6-5, 191 pounds, and is out of Fredericksburg, VA, by way of Word of God Christian Academy in North Carolina.
This past season as a sophomore, Coleman averaged 15.6 points per game on 39% shooting from the floor. He also shot 30% from 3-point range and 76% from the free throw line. He brought down 5.3 rebounds per game and averaged nearly two assists per game at 51 on the season. He did, however, have more turnovers with 60.
He dropped 18 points on the Pokes back in December on nearly 60% shooting from the floor.
Those numbers are way up from his freshman season in which he averaged just 5.4 points per game on 31% shooting from the floor, 31% from 3-point range and 72% from the free throw line. He had just under three rebounds per game. Following his freshman season, Coleman was named to the Big East All-Freshman Team.
Coleman and Clary join the returning players of Arturo Dean, Robert Jennings II, Jamyron Keller, Andrija Vukovic and Mikey Kelvin II, who was a fifth-year season, but spent this past season redshirting.
There are also three high school players who will be here in June, guard Ryan Crotty and centers Mekhi Ragland, who’s signed, and center Ben Ahmed, who’s committed.
