Oklahoma State Lands Commitment From 2026 Defensive Back Josiah Vilmael
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State has landed another spring football commitment, the seventh of the cycle, out of Richmond, TX, Fort Bend Travis cornerback, Josiah Vilmael.
Depending on where you look, Vilmael checks in anywhere from 5-11, 167 pounds, to 6-1, 185 pounds. He has reported offers from Oklahoma State and Texas Tech and appears to have been recruited by Houston and TCU but without offers.
While he hasn’t had an official visit yet, Vilmael was in Stillwater on an unofficial on March 29, and Pokes Report has learned he will take his OV to Stillwater this coming summer.
Vilmael is a real speedster out on the track, posting a 10.66 in the 100m and a 21.57 in the 200m. Those numbers are up from his 2024 numbers of a 10.84 in the 100m.
According to his Twitter/X account, Vilmael has posted a verified 40-time of 4.49.
The ’26 class for the Cowboys has started off very defensive heavy, as Vilmael joins fellow Texan Jaylen Stewart (DE), Landon Bland (DE), Carter Langenderfer (DB), Trey McGlothlin (LB), Kaydin Jones (RB and Aiden Martin (OL).
