STILLWATER – On my radio show on Friday morning (April 11), I had a caller who was one of the attendees to The Boys From Oklahoma concert on opening day Thursday. I'm not sure I followed that walk-on bit....

you can have them up to the 105 roster limit? Meaning all the 105 don't have to have scholarships?

How could Gundy have more guys to practice with, if the rosters use to be this much or more already?

I think the hope is essentially current walkons do not count against the 105. So if there are currently 11 walkons on the roster, you could have 105 plus the 11 walkons don't count against it. Eventually you'd get down to 105 as those players left/graduated, but it was be a phase in period.

I do believe this would be the sentiment, at least for the time being until they were phased out by transfers and graduation. Sort of like the extra COVID eligibility.

yeah, that's why I was asking.... perhaps the sentence should have said "would NOT" count against the 105 roster limit.

"Judge Wilken suggested to the attorneys for the NCAA that the organization grandfather in any current walk-ons in programs. They would count against the roster limit, which is 105 for football."
