
Oklahoma State Lands Commitment From Colorado Transfer Edge Rusher Taje McCoy
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State football remains active in the transfer portal as the Pokes have landed a commitment from Colorado edge rusher, and former Putnam City standout, Taje McCoy.
McCoy committed to the Pokes while in Stillwater on an official visit. He has three years of eligibility.

McCoy checks in at 6-3, 250 pounds and played in all 13 games for the Buffs this past season as a redshirt freshman.
He recorded 23 total tackles, 19 of which were solo stops, including four sacks, four tackles for loss and two quarterback hurries.
Following the season, McCoy was tabbed All-Big 12 Honorable Mention Defensive Newcomer of the Year.
The Cowboys recruited McCoy out of high school before he committed to Colorado. He finished his senior season as one of the best defensive players in the state, recording 97 total tackles, 16 tackles for loss, three force fumbles and four fumble recoveries.

McCoy is the second defensive commitment in the past two days out of the portal for the Pokes as he joined South Carolina transfer, Wendell Gregory.
He’s the sixth overall transfer commitment, joining Georgia State running back Freddie Brock, Emory and Henry (DII) receiver Cameron Abshire, Marshall wide receiver Christian Fitzpatrick, Appalachian State offensive tackle, Markell Samuel and South Carolina edge rusher, Wendell Gregory.
