Oklahoma State Lands East Carolina Transfer Defensive Back Eric Fletcher
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State has landed another transfer out of the portal, this time in East Carolina defensive back, Eric Fletcher.
He enters the 2025 season as a redshirt freshman and will have four years of eligibility remaining.
Pokes Report has learned Fletcher was recruited to East Carolina by new Cowboy assistant coach, Jules Montinar.
Fletcher has good size at 6-1, 175 pounds, and is out of Fort Myers, FL. He has good speed on the outside and is a replacement for former Cowboy DB, RJ Lester, who entered the transfer portal earlier this spring.
He played in three games this past season for the Pirates, recording one solo stop. Over his last two seasons in high school at Dunbar, Fletcher recorded 75 catches for 1,193 yards and 19 touchdowns, 762 yards and 12 touchdowns as a senior. He recorded 16 total tackles as a senior across 14 games.
He marks the 11th commitment out of the portal for the Pokes, the sixth on the defensive side of the ball, joining North Carolina DB DeAndre Boykins, South Carolina edge rusher, Wendell Gregory, Colorado edge rusher, Taje McCoy, Western Kentucky/Louisville linebacker, Darius Thomas and Vanderbilt defensive tackle, De’Marion Thomas, Emory and Henry (DII) receiver, Cameron Abshire, Georgia State running back, Freddie Brock, Marshall wide receiver Christian Fitzpatrick and Appalachian State offensive tackle, Markell Samuel.
