Oklahoma State Sack Artist Collin Oliver Picked by Green Bay in the NFL Draft
STILLWATER – Former Oklahoma State defensive end/outside linebacker/edge rusher Collin Oliver has been selected by the Green Bay Packers in the 5th round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
He’s back at home in Oklahoma City with his family, mom Jewell, dad Marshall, and two sisters when his name was called.
Oliver has been one of the best sack masters in Oklahoma State football history. He finished his Oklahoma State career with 23.5 sacks and it could have been a lot better if not for missing 10 games this past final season because of a foot injury.
The former Pop Warner running back and middle school quarterback, Oliver came out of Edmond’s Santa Fe High School as an All-State four-year letterman. Oliver finshed his prep career with 176 tackles, 39 tackles-for-loss, and 11 sacks. He also competed in track at Santa Fe. He picked Oklahoma State over offers from Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Kentucky, nebraska, Mississippi, Tennessee, and others.

At Oklahoma State, he finished with 134 tackles, 40.5 tackles-for-loss, and those 23.5 sacks. That included sacks that helped seal two Bedlam wins in his career, the first one as a freshman when he sacked Caleb Williams and set Boone Pickens Stadium into true Bedlam. He was the Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year and a Freshman All-American. He would go on to be a two-time team captain and a two-time second-team All-Big 12 player as a sophomore and junior.
Like, teammate and linebacker Nick Martin, size is the big knock on Oliver as scouts called him a tweener between linebacker and edge rusher. He ran a 4.56 at the NFL Combine and that was after an injury at the Senior Bowl. He still played and recovered a fumble in the game. His other combine testing included a 39-inch vertical and 10’6” broad jump, strong numbers. He did his bench test at the Big 12 Pro Day and did 24 reps.
