STILLWATER – Oklahoma State continues to stay hot out on the recruiting trail as the Cowboys have added a commitment from 2026 Lehi (UT) HS tight end, Bryton Niu.

Niu chose the pokes over Arizona, Cal, Colorado State, FIU, Oregon State, Penn, San Diego State, UNLV, USF, Utah, Utah State and Washington State.

Niu checks in at 6-5, 220 pounds, and is coming off a productive junior season as a TE for Lehi. He hauled in 24 receptions for 261 yards in 2024, which is coming of a sophomore season where he caught 12 passes for 91 yards and one touchdown in six games in 2023.

Niu is set to make his official visit to Stillwater on May 29 and was in Stillwater on an unofficial visit on April 3. He’s also the younger brother of former OSU quarterback commit, Jett Niu, who flipped his commitment to OU on signing day this past December.

The Cowboys currently hold 10 commitments in the 2026 class with the announcement from Niu. He marks the fourth on the offensive side of the ball, joining running back Kaydin Jones, offensive lineman Aiden Martin and wide receiver Jabarie Thornton, and there are six commits on the defensive side of the ball with cornerback Jason Bradford, defensive end Landon Bland, defensive back Carter Langenderfer, linebacker Trey McGlothlin, defensive end Jaylen Stewart and cornerback Josiah Vilmael.
