Oklahoma State Assistant Jeremy Cox to Return to UTEP
STILLWATER – While trying to fill the remaining spots on his roster, Oklahoma State head coach Steve Lutz will need to fill a spot on his coaching staff. Pokes Report can confirm the report from Monday that assistant coach Jeremy Cox is headed back to UTEP to join Joe Golding’s staff.
Cox got his start in coaching back in 1991 as a grad assistant at Wyoming, with a career spanning more than 30 years, a good amount of the time being spent down in Texas.
So, it’s certainly possible Lutz could hire a replacement coach who has experience and ties to the Lone Star State, Oklahoma and this region. It’s also possible there could be other changes to the coaching staff.
Going back to when Lutz first put his staff together, Cox was the final piece to the coaching staff the first week of May 2024. So, with still looking to complete the roster, expect Lutz to fill the coaching vacancy as soon as possible.
