Updated: Collin Oliver Signs Contract and Checks in With Green Bay Packers Rookies
As far as we were able to tell, the Green Bay Packers were the only team that drafted or signed an Oklahoma State Cowboys player that welcomed in their rookies on the first weekend that the NFL allows their teams to conduct rookie minicamps.
That meant Collin Oliver went to work on Thursday in Green Bay. We knew that as Collin had told us in an interview earlier this week.
Oliver had that usual smile while checking in at Lambeau Field with the Packers’ equipment staff. You can see Oliver was given No. 45 as his NFL jersey number. That will be his number this season with the Packers.
Thanks to the Milwaukee Sentinel newspaper we know a little history with the No. 45 and the Packers.
Last Packer: Eric Wilson
Before that: John Lovett (pretty good player)
Best Packer: Perry Smith (1973-76)
It was also announced on Friday morning Collin has signed his rookie contract, a four-year deal worth $4.6 million.

Oliver also checked out his equipment and that includes Nikes, so it looks like his agent Drew Rosenhaus has Collin Oliver a deal to continue wearing Nikes as he did at Oklahoma State. The Packers went through orientation, equipment check out, and position meetings and will hit the field on Friday and on Saturday before the minicamp for the rookie wraps up.
The other Cowboys moving on to the NFL will go through their minicamps next weekend and that includes Nick Martin in San Francisco, Ollie Gordon II in Miami with the Dolphins, corner Korie Black with the New York Giants, free agent Brennan Presley with the L.A. Rams, center Joe Michalski in Denver, tackle Dalton Cooper with the Kansas City Chiefs, and Rashod Owens with the Cincinnati Bengals, and Trey Rucker in Washington with the Commanders.
